Book Review: Stories For Boys Who Dare To Be Different: 1 & 2

Encouraging tales of boys from all backgrounds and walks of life who change the world and their life through their own unique struggles (and all without fighting medieval dragons! How cool is that?) The author, Ben Brooks, writes a collection of stories compiled into 2 books with inspirational figures ranging from Aristotle to Prince Harry.

Age Rating: 11+

Pleasure Rating: 8.7/10

Ben Brooks is a 29-year-old best-selling author of the 'Stories for Boys who Dare to be Different'. The book includes stories from multiple perspectives, races and religions. Each of these boys, whether they're an 11-year-old prodigy or an 80-year-old student, whether they're interested in designing shoes or wrestling or baking, changed so many lives and most importantly, theirs, in such a positive way.

WHAT I LIKED

Mainly, I enjoyed the diversity of the stories. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and walks of life and this book really portrayed that. All sorts of professions, races, ages, and religions entwined with melody. This entire book is a symbol of the harmonious collision of success in different terms, be it financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, or academically.

The illustrations have vibrant hues and popping graphics. Anyone who picks up this book in a library will probably start reading it immediately. It's the best technique to retain information, visuals. This book also includes people who aren't represented or well known like refugees, prisoners of war and great minds that have been under represented or completely unknown. It is important to relate to people who like you and have gone through the same experiences.

Finally, this book encourages good values like getting a good education, kindness, hard work and philanthropic work. Though everyone in this book are unique, none of them are nasty or lazy. They each worked hard to achieve what they have. Their core values reflect in their profession and success. Clearly, the author understands that idolizing people who are rude and disrespectful is not a good inspiration for young boys throughout the world.

WHAT I DIDN'T

I'll be honest, this book has some disadvantages. I was hoping for some kind of quotation or link so that I could find out more about the figures in that book. I's always good to understand and find out more about any book you're reading including using a dictionary to comprehend new words.

In conclusion, this book is overall an encouraging book for people that some from minorities or different walks of life. The Dangerous Book For Boys identifies the power of these human beings and motivates real change in unique ways. It tells us that you don't need to be normal to succeed because success means different things for everyone. Each one of the people in this book are successful but they have their own definition of it. Comment below about what your definition of success is. I highly encourage everyone here to read this book.

That's all from me,
